Firefox and SABnzbd memory leak!

Post by blackkatt »

Hi!

If you have SABnzbd running in the background in a firefox tab for some time (like during the night). Firefox will end up using 2-3GB, If refresh rate is set to 1-2 seconds. Possibly other values as well.

OS, Windows 7/8/8.1 64bit
Firefox at least 4 versions back to the current one.

The Problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.

Memory leaks are a long standing issue with Firefox.
I have no knowledge of SABnzbd contribution, or rather how to avoid it.

Seems to me it has to do with the way firefox refresh and the way that SAB is asking for it. Possibly sends the "wrong" command so that the update requests gets queued rather then executed?

Can't confirm. Had it set to 1sec for half an hour, with more or less zero difference regarding memory-usage.
