Almost Every File FAILS, but not really.

Almost every NZB I download, whether its brand new or 500d old, after successfully downloading, will come up in the history list with a big fat RETRY button beside it.

The problem is that the downloads haven't failed. A couple of them have downloaded 99% of the info and when I click retry it goes and finishes the last 50-100MB and then verifies and finishes correctly. The majority of them though don't even need to download anything more, after clicking retry they just verify their parts and then finish correctly.

This isn't a HUGE problem as most of my files work after clicking retry, but it IS annoying that it can't do it itself and I have to wait for it to verify everything.

For example, I just got the newest House of Lies and it said failed after. I clicked retry, it flashed 'In Repair' in blue for 2 seconds, and then finished properly. wtf.

On what kind of hardware and operating system are you running SABnzbd?

Running on Windows 7
3770K w/16GB RAM

It's set up to work with sickbeard and couchpotato, but this happens with NZBs added by them as well as manually. I just finished having to do it with the new HIMYM ep, it went and downloaded the last ~20MB and then finished properly.

edit: here is my log http://pastebin.com/86dBwaDH

edit2: I've had a couple actually fail with 1 or 2 parts failing, but if I retry and give it the NZB again it fixes it. This only happens occasionally and only with a couple small parts.

The log looks like to be from a successful download.
(Also it's not a debug log, so of limited use).
What you can try is disable 64bit support and the multi-core support of par2.
Config->Special, items allow_64bit_tools and par2_multicore.
Set both to 0.

Some hardware has difficulties with these settings.

Did it earlier today after reading your response. No change after many downloads.

edit: here's a +debug log

I cannot find anything going wrong in that log.

I'm having a similar issue: sometimes it's all files that are incomplete (~99%), sometimes it's most files. This has been going on for months, but till today I just thought this was my usenet provider.

Then today I noticed that if I download the same set of a files a second (or third) time, different files are incomplete than before.

After a bunch of fiddling, trying different settings (SSL on/off, different ports, etc), I noticed that if I setup a backup server, identical to my main server, all files download completely. How weird is that?

sabnzbd 0.7.16 running on OSX 10.9.

Same problem here. It's only downloading the first par file, failing, and never attempting to pull the rest of the par files.

Please supply more details.
The previous poster didn't and that means there's nothing I can do.

Keep get "Unpacking failed, an expected file was not unpacked ". when I go to check the folders, the extra pars are not being downloaded. I've uninstalled SABnzbd and reinstalled (and moved my config back), but it still happens. If it passes the initial check, I get my file, otherwise it doesn't unpack nor download the additional pars.

correction, if it passes the quickcheck, sometime I get my file, otherwise I can manually unpack in the incomplete folder. a little more info:

Unpack Unpacking failed, these file(s) are missing: filename.mp4

Repair [nzb name] Quick Check OK

Which operating system do you use?
