Re-adding partial downloads / dropped queue entries

Post by stickfiddler »

Hi all,
Windows 7, 64bit
SABnzbd Version: 0.7.16
No ipv6, Windows installed version, skin default, firewall nope, not easily reproducable.

Occasionally if I lose power* an item in my queue will simply disappear.
After rebooting, bringing things back online, sometimes my queue is all there, minus one item.
I can check my 'incomplete' downloads folder and see a folder for the item, within that folder is "_ADMIN_ " and in there is "SABnzbd_nzf_c0r2sf" and "SABnzbd_attrib" etc

I have no idea how to re-import this back into Sab while retaining the partially completed files. I've tried re-adding the NZB and it just adds it fresh.
Is there a particular trick to this? I hope this is descriptive enough.
Thanks

* I know, best solution is don't lose power, however peoples PC's crash for a heap of reasons and some of this is out of my control.

NOTE:
Just to make it clear as per the FAQ.
http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/faq#toc15
An NZB died halfway through downloading. Do I really have to re-download all 600 gigs?

When you used a partial NZB or did not have enough par2 files, all is not lost.
A failed job will have an entry in History. If it's just a case of a full destination disk, click Retry.
If you now have a larger NZB with either more RAR files or just more PAR2 file, click Retry and enter the new NZB in the dialog.
SABnzbd will skip each files that has already been downloaded and then proceed to download the additional files.
Please note that SABnzbd cannot add missing articles to existing files.
I do not have an entry in the history, it has gone missing / corrupted, all that remains is the files.
Also note, this isn't a one off thing, this has happened to me 3 times in the past 6 weeks.

Have you tried the "Retry" button in the History entry of the failed job?

The item is not in the history, it's completely missing.

In that case go to the Status page, tab queue repair.
Lost items are listed there.

Hi,

My queue disappeared, but i do not see "queue repair" in status.
I just updated to the latest version in case that would solve it.
How do i get it to appear?
Thanks
