So to start off, i'm brand new with this whole newsgroup thing, i used to only torrent stuff on a windows/mac, so i have no idea what im doing, im just using google for answers right now lol.
So i saw the FAQ about this, and understand where it is coming from, but when i search the index sites that im using, they are available to download, so im not sure why it is failing.
For example, i downloaded Arrow Season 2. All were set to wanted, only episodes 1, 3, 5, and 6 failed due to the Out of your server's retention? thing. The other episodes downloaded fully.
Not sure what info you would need from me, but here is what i have used/searched.
Right now im using astraweb as my main index (I think thats the correct term?)
My NZB index sites are:
OZnzb
NZBndx
usenet-crawler
NZBZombie
All are VIP (not sure if that matters with this issue though)

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

They've been removed from astraweb. So your only other hope would be to try another host. Whether or not I do it unnecessarily, I have 3 servers. usenetserver.com being my main one with astraweb and tweaknewz being my back up. Its rare that I find anything fails or is out of the retention.
Arrows one of those shows that is removed very quickly so it may pay you to install sick beard. Best thing I ever did.

Install sickbeard? That's what i have it running through. I use sick for my TV shows. Ill check out another host and see if it works. hopefully that will fix the issue.

Oh I didn't realise you already had it installed.
Well you'll be fine in future if you have sick beard installed already. Its just very hit and miss when it comes to tracking older episodes if you've missed them with all the DCMA takedowns that happen.
