Hey,

I was wondering, how to speed up the unpacking thing? It takes an awful long time. Is it using 2 cores?

What are the specs of your machine? What harddrive is in it?

Unpacking will likely be limited by the speed of your hard drive, and not of your cpu or anything so using multiple cores would have little impact in speed.

Do you use Windows or Linux?
On Linux, the ionice settings can be modified (Config->Switches), maybe it's too nice.

Our Windows release comes with the free-ware unrar from RarLabs.
It's the same one that "everybody" uses.
We have 0 influence on its performance.
Have you tried unrarring manually, does that work any faster?
