Hi,

i am sorry to open a new topic but i do not seem to find the exact same problem.
SABNZBD from Synocommunity 0.7.16.
Phyton 2.7.6-7
Synology DS 412+

The files are all encrypted an i have the password in a password file.
The first password is being read and used directly from the file.
ALL THE REST IS NOT READ. => if i download several files at once, only the first gets packed out. All the rest fails with the same password.

Since the password file can be any txt with one password per line, i do not understand where the problem could be.
I do not have any unix knowhow, so pls suggest something that i can do. (i am a winadmin )
Remove, reinstall and reconfigure i tried already 6 times.

I hope you know better then i do.

Is the file in Linux formar (and not Windows format)?

The file was created in windows7 with notepad and another with notepad++. Which program could I use for linux format?

Notepad++ can save files in Unix/OSX mode.
(I think under Save as...)

I did find the conversion option and used it as on the link:

the file itself contains only 2 lines:
1a232e2606b11e94adc74720f242c544
484802488e9ddb91bd4bbfeaef60a797

yet only the first password is being checked.

I have no idea.
Are you sure the NZB file doesn't contain a password
or the file name?

The password i have. It is not in the file but in the txt. I think we do not understand eachother. Pls refrase

There are multiple sources for passwords.
Inside the NZB and embedded in the file name.
Both sources take precedence over what is in the txt file.
I just wanted to establish whether there is another source for the password.

The NZB Name is like this: ff1445f223f641822d88e77a70fd71f9.par2
The password is like already stated.
I can unpack them with the password localy on my pc or with sab if i state the password in the related download queue item or if i include it in the name.

The only thing which is not happening is the lines in the password file are not read. (except the first. )

I cannot really think of a reason.
I will retest in the coming days, but that's not a guarantee.
Your hardware plarform is not tested by the team.

Set your logging to maximum (+Debug), restart SABnzbd, do a download, and then in your log file find "Read the passwords file". What is the output of the complete line? Is that the correct file?

Is that somehow doable on a Synology nas? I just have a restart button. But the path is surely correct, since the first password is always being read.

SAB: Status -> Latest Warning -> Logging ... set to +Debug

Then, after a new download: Status -> Latest Warning -> SHOW Logging

Hi,

i have the logfile, but it does not say anything useful to me.
I cannot attach files so i ad just the latest 2 download logs under debug.
I hope it helps...

The CRC mismatch may mean that the RAR file has its file names encrypted as well.
RAR passwords are implemented in such a way that you cannot always tell the difference between
a (lightly) damaged file and a bad password.
This is not really a problem, only SABnzbd cannot check for presence of files after unpacking.
