How would I do that when numbers don't seem to be an allowed search pattern?

Either I am officially blind, or there is a flaw in how this forum works.

I was looking for informaton about the version that is installed through my system's repository, version 0.6.15. On the samnzbd site there is no mentioning of this version, only 0.6.14, and I was trying to find out why that is. So, I thought, searching throuh the forum must reveal at least one topic about this version. Well, to cut a long story short, I simply can't be bothered wading through roughly 7,500 topics looking for the one item I am interested in.

So, what's the secret? How do I search the forum for topics about specific versions?

Most people don't even mention the version, so searching is a challenge.
And of course we generally recommend that people upgrade to the latest release.
Do you have a specific question about release 0.6.15?

It is working fine for me, so I see no immediate reason to upgrade. "If it ain't broken..."

The reason for my first question is that the version is not mentioned anywhere on the site. At least not that I could detect. The "history" blog jumps directly from version 0.6.14 to 0.7.11 (I think it was, without checking), so no 0.6.15. These things makes one ponder why.

But all that don't matter. The problem is with the forum, and why it is impossible to search for numbers. Is there a trick, or simply the forum software?

It doesn't have to be version numbers per se. How about Hz numbers, or drive sizes, or ... The list is endless, so I simply don't get why it is not possible to search for numbers. I mean, searching for digits in a text string (to use a very simple analogy) is as common as searching for a, b, or c. No?

Phpbb has a very poor search function.
I'll talk to the webmaster about this.
I usually just search through Google.

I know right. It's better to google it anyway.
