Since my nzbindex.nl rss feeds have been getting 503 errors lately, I decided to try to switch over to my usenet provider's rss feeds. I know not all rss feeds are supported, but I wanted to try it out. When I added the RSS feed, it came back saying "Do not have valid authentication for feed [feed name]" because you'd need to authenticate with the usenet site in order for it to work. I don't see any ways to enter the credentials. Is this hidden somewhere? Why can't it try the same credentials in the servers section?

My usenet provider allows you to specify keywords, subject text, poster, newsgroups, file name, codecs, file extentions, types of files (archives, audio, documents, video, executables, images, parity, other stuff), timestamps, file sizes, pixel counts, FPS, bitrates, hz, runtime, spam filters, 20 sorting methods, spam filters(gets rid of password protected files, files with viruses, things that were posted greater than X times, things that were posted from a specific newsgroup provider), keyword stemming (ie: type in popsicles and it can also return results for popsicle), and more... You can see why I'd like this functionality to work!

Most RSS indexers generate URL-s for RSS feeds for you.
Those have the login credentials encrypted somehow in the URL parameter section.
Typical example:
https://rss.indexer.com/rss?user=bla&ke ... =my%20show

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work that way. It appears to require basic authentication. Any way to get this to work in sabnzbd? If not, can this be added to a feature request list? Since the credentials for the server are already listed in sabnzbd's server section, coding this would be incredibly quick.

Given the very small amount of indexers that require this, I won't pursue this.
(Also because it doesn't fit very well in the UI.)
Of course SABnzbd doesn't know that there is a relationship between the Usenet server credentials and the RSS feed,
so that's not an obvious solution.
Besides that, there's no guarantee that the feed will be compatible with SABnzbd at all.
Not having access to your ISP's indexer also means that I cannot test (or reverse engineer the meaning of its output).
Indexers make quite a mess of their feeds (in the sense that the field names are all over the place).
