SABnzbd Forums

Hello,
I have just install sabnzbd on a mac (OS10.9).
I have a NAS hard drive located on a "box" provided by my Internet Service Provider.
This hard drive is seen in the finder in the shared section. I am able to read/write on it .

I have created a folder named "Donwnloads" on it and tried to configure sabnzbd to save finalized downloaded file on it.
As the FAQ advice I have put this path:
/Volumes/nameofmydrive/Downloads
but it does'nt work. I have each time a alert saying "can't creat folder /Volumes/nameofmydrive/Downloads"
Searching on the forum I have seen that as it is a network HD, I should set the path as :
\\lnameofmydrive\\Downloads . As adviced, I have also set permission to 0777 below the path in sabzbd/config/folders
But I'm still not able to have sabnzbd saving my complete donwload to the NAS HD. this time I get no alert in sabnzbd.
Any advice?

The \\ notation won't ever work on a Mac.
The /Volumes method is the right one.
Check what the actual mount path is and create the Download folder manually first, using the Finder.

Sorry about that!
Now I have another problem:
I have set sabnzbd to downlad in /Volumes/nameofmydrive/incomplete and to finalise in /Volumes/nameofmydrive/Downloads.
files are downloaded in the incomplete folder but I get alert in sabnzbd :
can't change permissions for /Volumes/nameofmydrive/incomplete/
This sound strange as I am able to write and read on it manually.
I have seen somewhere here that it is not possible to set the incomplete folder on an network hard drive and to have sabnzbd doing post processing and transfert to the complete folder on the same HD. is it right or am I missing something again with the config?

resolved:
I have removed the 0777 permission.
Everything is working well, except the very slow decompression.
