SABnzbd Forums

I installed SABNZBD and Sickbeard a number of days ago. It worked smoothly, downloading at acceptable speeds for my location, for about 2 days, and then the other day SABNZB just stopped downloading, or at least slow down so much (to a few bits) that it would take years to download anything. The servers tested fine, but when I checked the warnings, it did say that too many connections were open.

In the mean time, I have restarted SABNZBD, upgraded to .16, lowered my max. connections, restarted my MAC, used one server only, restarted my internet (Airport - set up a network for myself under my shared residential network), tried to reload seperate items in my queue, deleted my queue, tried to add new items via Sickbeard,and generally fiddled around, but I just cannot seem to figure it out

Sickbeard, notably, no longer is able to communicate directly (or send to the file it should), because whenever I try to add a new NZB now, the message "Backlog was automatically started for the following seasons..." comes up.

As I said; it worked fine for a number of days, and stopped working without my having changed any settings - I just came back to my computer at some point and downloading had ground to a halt (with the 'too many connections' warning), and I haven't been able to get it to work since.

I appreciate any help and insight offered in this.

OS: (OSX Leopard Mountain Lion
Skin: Default
Firewall Software: None

Check if SABnzbd accepts and downloads NZB files directly.
If it does, it's a SickBeard issue and you need to use the SickBeard forum.

Thanks for your reply. Just tried it and though I can manually add something to the queue, it won't download...

Is the queue paused?
What do you see if you open the Status->Connections page?

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly!

It tries to download the NZB for a bit, then moves it to history, saying "Download failed - Out of your server's retention?".

When I open the status connections page it says:
"Server: news-ssl.panic.com

Status: Enabled

# Connections: 0"

But when I test the server it is successfully connected.

It means that the post is no longer on the server.
Take down requests are becoming a popular thing on Usenet.
