Can Config be compressed by default?

I searched this forum for an answer to this question and the only results I found were from 2010. Now that it has been three years since then, here goes again.
I am running SABnzbd+ 0.7.14 with simpl-white interface on Linux. Regarding the Config option on the home page, is there a way to have this compressed by default? It is ALWAYS expanded, sometimes even when I navigate away from the home page and then come back to it. I realize this is mouse nuts, but still somewhat annoying.
Thanks,
X

Not sure what you mean with "compressed" Config.
Be aware that the Config skin is no longer maintained.

I tried to send a couple of screenshots but apparently I can't do that here. Anyway, With Config expanded, all of the config options are listed underneath and the information on the screen below the word "Config" is lowered by the number of options shown. Compressed just means that the Config options are "rolled-up" and not visible, and the bottom part of the screen is raised back up by the number of config options that are shown (9 lines).

BTW: the "smpl" skin is no longer maintained.
The Config skin is.

You have made contradictory statements saying that the Config Skin is no longer maintained, and then the simpl skin is no longer maintained but the Config skin is. But in either case I assume from other threads in this forum is that by "The Config Skin" you mean Plush, so simpl isn't supported, but plush is. Correct? If so, I have tried using plush and I am sorry to say but I really don't like it. If I had even a half an ounce of coding skills I think I would take on the simple skin. I find it clean, clear and simple, and the plush is cluttered, I can't stand the colors, and I don't like the layout as well. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. At least it works great!

The Config skin was introduced two year ago (IIRC) as an overlay for the
configuration pages of all skins. Optionally you can use the complete older skins.
We've stopped maintaining the "Classic" and "smpl" skins.
The combination that's still supported is Plush (for queue and history) and Config for configuration.
The older skins will be dropped in 0.8.0.
"smpl" is lean and efficient, but internally so complex that nobody wants to maintain it.
"classic" is simply too clumsy to support larger queues and history.
Returning to your original question.
Possibly you're referring to the original full "smpl" skin.
The Plush/Config skin has a vertical menu showing the configuration blocks.

Hmmm. When I look at the Config>General>Web Interface, I see several classics of different colors, two simpls (black and white), and "Plush - Gold". As I mentioned in my original post, I am currently using "Simpl-white". I really don't like Plush-Gold at all, but is that the skin you are referring to when you say "Plush/Config"?

Yes, the standard UI is Plush (with Config.)
If you're using full "smpl", I must disappoint you: it will be dropped in the next major version.
Unless a volunteer steps up to maintain it.
