Hello,

First of all thank you for you "SABnzb" program, I love it.

However I have a connection problem with my VPN provider.

I contacted them, and I got the right server adresses and so but I still can't manage to connect with the server.

Just so you know, I had a previous usenet server in the past and nothing was wrong.

My VPN provider is : AirVPN

I took from them the folowing information :
Host : 94.242.205.235
Port : 443
Username : ****
Password : ****

They didn't gave me the remaining information for the server but I don't think the retention time is the problem here.

With these, SABnzb says : [Errno 61] Failed to connect: (60, '[Errno 61] Connection refused') -1@94.242.205.235:443

I checked with the VPN provider, and they confirm me the exit-IP adress of the server.

Does anyone have a solution for my problem ?

Best regards,

mcmanos

Sorry but I have to add the folowing :

I was using my vpn connection at the same time so it couldn't connect twice.

However I get this error : [Errno 61] Failed to connect: (60, '[Errno 61] Connection refused') -1@94.242.205.235:443

If anyone have a solution,

Best regards,

mcmanos.

When using the VPN connection, does your system seem to have multiple network adapters?
Can you simultaneously communicate with and without the VPN channel?

When I'm using my vpn connection I can't use at the same time my default connection. For example I use my vpn with tunnelblick, and my connection stay the same when I am using the vpn.

Airvpn gave me 2 different server adress to try : 94.242.205.235 & lu.vpn.airdns.org

Also, I tried using a different usenet access program : G...t , and the result is the same with the 2 adresses. Unable to connect to server.

The vpn provider is sending me here, telling me there is no problem with the servers ...

Do you think that they gave me the wrong server adress ? Does somebody have used this vpn provider ?
If someone is using a vpn provider, what does the server adress look like ?

Hope someone has the answer.

Best regards,

mcmanos.

Sorry for the double post, but it is bugging me.

Do you know a usenet access provider that gives also the use of a vpn ? If airvpn is not capable of this I am changing my provider.

For the info, for the usenet downloads I use SABnzbd ; and for the vpn access I use Tunneblick on OS X and the Airvpn software on W7.

Best regards,

mcmanos.

I don't understand:
what is your usenet provider?
And what is 94.242.205.235? Your VPN provider, or your usenet provider?
What have you filled on in the SABnzbd Server setting?

If you add "news.kpn.nl" as a newsserver in SABnzbd, what happens when you click on "Test Server"?
