How to remove multiple items from queue?

I'm a newbie SABnzbd user, having just installed it on my new QNAP TS-209 II via their QPKG system. I've been manually downloading stuff from Giganews via Newzbin reports for some time and the promise of having my TS-209 sit and download everything for me without my intervention would be like a dream come true!
I've put all my Newzbin saved searches into SABnzbd as RSS feeds (around 45 of them), but this has resulted in a queue of a couple of hundred items (400G!), many of which I've already downloaded. So I need to delete a lot of items from the queue, but the Queue page in the web UI seems to allow me to delete only one item at a time.
Is there a way to delete multiple items from the queue in a single operation?
This is especially problematic because SABnzbd seems to really use a *lot* of CPU when using the web interface, to the point that deleting one item from the queue takes about 3 minutes.
Can anybody help me?
TIA!
