Can't get Windows XP Setup to Work!

Post by Stormer »

Very frustrating problem.

I just rebuilt my media computer to operate on Window XP Pro instead of Linux.

Everything worked fine on Linux.

I have installed Sickbeard, Sabnzbd, Sabnzbd Connect (for Chrome Browser).

All server/newsprovder settings indicate "successful" connection. All APIs are properly installed as necessary. All permissions seem good.

When I go to my indexer (or another Usenet search provder to download something), the request "appears" in my Sabnzbd connect icon at the top of Chrome. I open that and it says "trying to access the nzb" and in about 5 seconds that "call" just disappears and status shows as Idle. The request never gets through to Sabnzbd. (Sabnzbd is properly configured w/correct Sabnzbd API)

I have Sickbeard set up and get the same problem when issuing a download from there. It "sees" the Nzb in my indexer but cant get it downloaded.

Sabnzbd log shows no errors (lots of [INFO} lines)

Firewall in Windows XP is turned off. No antivirus running.

Very very frustrating.

Help!

Thanks in advance.

First try to upload an NZB file directly to SABnzbd.
Now your trying to debug two tools at once.

Ugh!! Found the problem. My files are processed in an NAS separate from the computer. There was a problem with the permissioning!!! All working now. Thanks!
