Updated from 0.7.11 to 0.7.12 yesterday and I have just noticed that my download stats (bottom right of plush screen) show:

16.3 GB Today 153.8 GB This week 538.2 GB This month 150.4 GB Total

... why is the 'Total' less than the figures for 'This week' and 'This month'?

There are no changes in 0.7.12 than can explain this.
I'm not saying it's not happening, but it's not caused by a change between 0.7.11 and 0.7.12.
Did you add or remove any Usenet servers?

You're probably right, it's just that I've never noticed a discrepancy before so I assumed the update must have been the cause.

Yes, added one approx 10/12 days ago.

According to the Servers page, the stats for the servers are:

news-eu-ssl.newsgroupdirect.com: # this one is the new server and it is set as a 'Backup server'
Total: 633 MB
Today: 152 MB
This week: 523 MB
This month: 633 MB

ssl-eu.astraweb.com: # this one is my main server
Total: 168.4 GB
Today: 54.4 GB
This week: 207.9 GB
This month: 592.2 GB

ssl.astraweb.com: # disabled this one a while ago
Total: 35.9 GB
Today: 0 B
This week: 0 B
This month: 0 B

Something doesn't look right to me!

The only anomaly is with the second server, where "total" is less than "this month" and "this week".
The other two make perfect sense.

For some reason the "total" value is incorrect, at least inconsistent with the others.
I have no idea what could cause this, except for a simple data corruption in the stored file.
A speculation would be that something goes wrong when passing from 999G to 1T.
I'll keep an eye on it when mine passes over the next few weeks.
Given that you have a quite unique complaint, I will assume for now the "data corruption" cause.
