Should sab be checking queued items while the first item is downloading when "Check before download" is enabled?

At the moment, if I add multiple items, lets say A, B, C & D, A will be checked and download. But B won't be checked until A has finished downloading. Likewise for C & D.

If relevant "Only Get Articles for Top of Queue" and "Pause Downloading During Post-Processing" are not enabled.

Since pre-checking uses such little bandwidth, and takes some time, makes sense that queued items could be checked while the first item is downloaded no? Or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

This has been discusses at length before.
Checking does take time and server threads.
Also, we do not consider the option important enough to complicate the design of the queue.
Currently we recommend that you use the option "Abort jobs that cannot be completed" instead,
unless you so desperate to save bandwidth that every byte counts.
