SABnzbd Forums

Hello,
I'm a new user of sabnzbd (V0.7.11).
I' ve not been able to set sabnzbd to download more than one file at a time.
My server is set to 30 connections ihe configuation section but when loading a nzb, sabnzbd is downloading only one file at a time in the queue.
I'm not using sabnzbd +. Is there any limitation? Or is there a configuration that I 'm missing?

Why do you want to download more than one post at a time? It would slow down the moment the first post would be finished downloading, and the total download time would stay the same.

Apart from that: search the forum. It has been asked before.

I was used with grabit software to have many files downloading at the same time. And my full connection speed was only reach when downloading more than one file with this grabber.
This is why I was a bit surprise as a new sabnzbd user.
I have check the forum but I was not able to find a clear answer.
Using the smlp skin (not see with the plush skin), I have seen that 20 files were actives but only one was downloading.
Anyway it seems that I reach the maximum speed of my provider connection with only one file downladed with savnzbd.
I was just curious to know how the download queue works exactly. Is it managing the number of files downloaded regarding the speed connection? may it change or will it be always one file a time?

SABnzbd will use all connections to the max.
Contrary to Grabit, it will download multiple parts of one file simultaneoulsy.
What matters is only the effective download speed.
