Hi,
In installed sabnzbd a few days ago and for the first couple of days it worked fine downloading at speeds of around 3.5MB/s. Now it is stuck at 1kb/s (has been for about a day). I've restarted the app, but that has not solved the issue. Any advice?

As a test, download a recent Ubuntu image (
http://binsearch.info/index.php?q=ubunt ... &postdate=), and tell us your download speed.
(And no, I'm NOT asking you to use Ubuntu. Just download it as a test; it's free content, so always available on a newsservers and not removed)

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I'm going to sound like a dork, but how do I download it? I know how to use CP to download content through sabnzbd, and that's about it

Thank you! Looks like it may have just been the file I was trying to download (even though I tried several different versions of that file). Other files seem to be working. Thanks for your help.

Interesting thread.
Using an IPv6 tunnel broker on HE (Hurricane Electric) to a few Usenet IPv6 only hosts, down here at the bottom of the world on my ~120MBit/sec DOCSIS3.0 cable I can see about 7.1MB/sec max down the pipe. That was after moving SAB *off* Ubuntu and *onto* Solaris 11.1.
I use:
newszilla6.xs4all.nl
reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl
reader.xsusenet.com
weathergirl-ipv6.tele2.net
With the maximum number of connections allowed on each.
