Job failing due to wrong or missing file

Hi,

SAB has recently failed 3 jobs that normally it would not fail (because of high availability, etc). The thing that puzzles me is the fact that for these 3 jobs, SAB said that it couldn't retrieve a file that happened to have nothing to do with the job.

An example might help understand what I mean:

Lets say the job is

Code: Select all

"A Real Good Movie 1989 BluRay 1080p x264 DTS..."
SAB will download for a while, then the job will fail and the cause will be something like

Code: Select all

" Unpacking failed, unable to find Brazil.1985.Criterion.720p.BluRay.DD2.0.x264-CtrlHD.part012.r00"
Another example was:

Job name:

Code: Select all

"A Real Good TV Show S02E12 720p WEB-DL DD5 1 H 264-ECI"
Reason:

Code: Select all

"»Unpacking failed, unable to find The_Saboteur_EUR_PS3-Googlecus.part40.r00"
I did a bit of searching, "The Saboteur" is apparently a PS3 game.... what it has to do with the job???

So why is SAB searching for archive files that are not related to the job??

This happened 3 times in a row. Newznab+ index to blame?

I hadnt realized it before, but the jobs are successfully downloaded and unpacked, but instead of finding the file in its folder in the complete folder, there are other archives (.r00) laying around.

SABnzbd downloads what's described in the NZB.
Sometimes there's junk in there as well.
SABnzbd doesn't throw files away, unless you tell it to.

How do you tell it to? Will it throw away only useless stuff and not good stuff like subtitle files, etc??

You have two options.
The extension based clean up filter in Config-> General
or your own user script.
