Downloads keep failing

Post by sparky3387 »

I keep experiencing failed downloads with SabNZBD, it will download around 80% of each file leaving me with massive corruption that I must fix.

There is no doubt in my mind it is related to the fact I am using Satellite internet that is patchy and drops out all the time, using Newsbin it will simply re-download the sections of files that were downloading when the internet dropped, but SabNZBd does not appear to do this.....

I am just wondering if there is an option to do this (I have searched, but perhaps am using the wrong keywords), and if not can I help to improve the reliability (logs etc)

Cheers!

SABnzbd will not re-download missing parts afterwards.
I doubt whether newsbin does either.
However, if you do have a unreliable connection, you should disable retries in Config->Switches.
This way SABnzbd will keep trying forever (or until it has a working connection again).
Set retries to 0 ( which means unlimited).

It is right after all.
The main thing is to prevent people from setting it to 1, which is a bad idea.
Setting it to a huge value like you did, is the right solution.
