I recently upgraded to 0.7.11 and things were running fine until this morning. I woke up and checked my queue and saw there was a lot of files waiting to be processed. All the files seemed to be waiting for the file at the beginning of the queue, which was stuck at Verifying 02/02. I let it go for an hour or so but no change. I killed the par2.exe process and restarted sabnzbd, still stuck on the file. I killed the par2.exe process stopped sabnzbd and moved the folder for the hung file out of the way and restarted sabnzbd. the queue moved to the next file, and successfully processed it quickly, but then got hung on the next one verifying again.

I can generally solve 99% of my problems by going through forums, but it seemed that in the posts I found this particular issue should have been resolved by upgrading to 0.7.11.

Also, another thing to note is I did notice that the par2.exe process will steadily use up an entire processor, 25% total CPU usage on the quad core. I assume it's not built to take advantage of multi core processors. I would also occassionally also see the process named par2-cassic.exe hanging on different files.

I don't think it's hardware. I've got the following on this system:

CPU - AMD Trinity Quad core A10-5800K
HDD - SSD OCZ-VERTEX4
OS - Windows 8 64bit
SANZBD - 0.7.11

The par2 program itself is always a suspect.
Try setting Config->Special->par2_multicore off for some time.

It was actually checked and set to off. I set it to on and restarted to see if that changes anything. It seems to be stuck on verifying again, though.

With the box unchecked and set to (on) for par2_multicore, it takes about 12-13 minutes to verify a 1.3GB file. I've never had that poor of performance before. There's nothing else running on the box either. With the hardware I have, I don't see why it should take that long.

Do you have any other advice, or can I gather any log files somehow to figure out why things are moving so slow?

Just to follow up, I paused all the downloads, and let the queue slowly catch up. Once all the queue was caught up, seems seem to be running fine again. I retried the failed ones,and they processed as fast I they should have before. I guess it was a glitch in the matrix.
