Check the refresh rate in Options, top right.

Very slow speed usually means that the post is not on the server.
What's the end result?
In other words, which speed indicator is right?

well i can't say, because when i download something it downloads faster than both of the displayed speeds in the U.I. and the notification area

Same issue. Showing 1 or 0 KB/s. I use Google Chrome. Sabnzbd 0.7.11, on running on UnRAID. Issue occurs in IE as well.
Not a massive issue obviously, as each download seems to be running successfully.

UnRAID is not supported, because we cannot test it.
Basic reason: unRAID cannot be virtualized and will only run on real hardware, which we're not going to buy.

Well that's nice to know, but either way, you've got yourself a bug. The guy who wrote the OP wasn't running UnRAID.

Both of you say that the same feature doesn't work for you.
It does work for all platforms we do test on, at least when the test group and me test.
I'm sure there could be specific situations where it doesn't work.
Without more detailed info, what can I do?

This is also occurring on my host. I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.3, SABnzbd 7.1.1. Refresh option is set to 4 seconds. Large images are seemingly downloading at a normal high speed, but the SABnzbd throughput is set at 0 or 1 KB/s, and thus the estimated time remaining is set a couple thousand hours. If I watch the download progress bar, it seems to bug in large increments, around 200 MB.
I'd be happy to provide any logs you might like, feel free to let me know.

What you describe is another problem.
Seemingly low speeds are caused by posts that are no longer on the server.
The progress bar goes at normal speed, but hardly any bytes are received.
Missing articles deliver very few bytes.

shypike, Thanks for the super quick reply and support you've given us.
It is indeed possible this is a bad post, I'll let you know when/if the download completes!

I was running into this same issue. Download speed showing 0 and the time remaining was showing some huge number. Things had been working fine before the last couple weeks. I tried clearing cache, different browsers, even viewing from the local host, all resulting in the same issues. Just like some of the others described, the downloads were actually working fine (along with the progress bar). It was just the speed/time remaining display that wasn't correct.
I looked in the "InProcess" directory and there was a TON of left over stuff in there, I suppose from failed downloads, etc. I cleared out that directory and the download speed and time remaining display picked back up immediately. Go figure?
