Slow Downloadspeeds from some servers on NAS

Hi

Im experiencing a wierd problem with Sabnzbd on my Synology NAS.
This week i decided to change usenet provider, due to Giganews (my old provider) being quite expensive.
I have tried a couple of different providers, but i seem to run into somekind of wierd problem.

On giganews servers im able to download around 4Mb/s (limited by the cpu and ram).
My expectation were that i would be able to get similar speeds using other providers.
However thats not the case.

When i use Usenetservers.com im maxing out at 3Mb/s and using easynews im maxing out at 2Mb/S.
First i thought, "thats properly because their servers suck". However when i tried the same providers on Sabnzbd for windows they max out my connection, just like Giganews.

Why am i experiencing different speeds from different servers, eventhough the connection and NAS can do better using other providers?

I hope anyone can shed some light on this.

Ssl versus normal traffic?
Did you set enough connections, or too many?
The optimum varies per server.
BTW: if you want cheaper but about the same quality, you can try supernews.com.
That's the cheaper brand of Giganews, retention time is a bit shorter.

Without SSL easynews is as quick as giganews, usenetservers.com is still slow.

I have tried with a different amounts of connections, didnt do a difference.
