I have downloads that are in my incomplete folder , blocks short, when I run PAR2 , it just opens up and shows 0 recovery blocks, Data files 0 blocks found. Open shows 100 % blue bar & new shows brown bar fully across.
when I click on ADD and try and click on a PAR 2 recovery volume and try & open I receive :- You do not have permission to open this file. Contact file owner or administrator to obtainj permission

can anybody help or advise please

Operating system?
How do you open a par2 file? Not from SABnzbd.

Possibly you're running SABnzbd under another account as the one
you're using to open the par2 file.
SABnzbd itself doesn't do anything with access rights on Windows;
instead it relies on Windows' defaults.

You need to download programs called QuickPar and WinRAR.
Although when SABnzbd says the download is incomplete, that usually true.
Do you have reason to think that it's wrong about that?

On top of this: the OP says "Qnap". So I guess SABnzbd is running on his Qnap NAS. If so, I guess that's where the error message "You do not have permission to open this file" about 'Permission to open files' is coming from.

So: two questions in one thread?

Instead of focussing on the problems, try to do a successful download. For example: a Ubuntu image (see http://binsearch.info/index.php?q=ubunt ... &postdate= )
