My computer was very laggy so I went through the processes and closed out par2.exe because I've never seen it before. was finally able to google it and found it its for post-processing. now my file won't exceed past 7% Repair and I don't have an option to delete it. how can I fix this?
also. i read that clearing the Cache can make it less laggy...how can i clear my cache out?

The cache has nothing to do with this.
Repairs can take very long.
You don't even mention operating system or SABnzbd version.

I'm just going off of what you said.
"clean out any non *.sab files from the cache."
also. until i crashed out par2.exe it was repairing at a reasonably speedy rate, as they normally do on my laptop.

2009: back then this was important. Not any more.
Still, the other questions are not answered.

Sorry, I lost track.
Is your problem on the NAS or the Windows laptop?

Par2 is a separate program over which we gave control.
Sizeable repairs can cost a lot of time and can be a heavy load on the system.
Sometimes an hour or so,
If it takes "forever", the maybe the multi-core version of par2 is not compatible with your system.
In Config->Special and Config->Switches there are some options,
Use the Help function to get to the corresponding Wiki pages.
The "classic" par2 is even slower, but more reliable.
