Not enough repair blocks for every download

I know there are lots of these problems on the board, but I've looked through several and can't seem to find any solution.

I've got 4 failed TV episodes all from different shows in my downloads. I'm not sure what's going on. QuickPAR is unable to repair them, but I can't imagine that all 4 episodes are incomplete from usenet. using sab 0.7.6 with source from couch potato grabbed from nzb.su and the file shows as complete there. Here's a log from one, starting at the end is an example of a download that didn't work. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3i727z9esep5l ... 283%29.log

Let me know if I gave you the right info. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

If all par2 file in the NZB have been downloaded and even QuickPar cannot repair,
the only conclusion is that indeed the post is incomplete.
And yes, that happens more than you think.
Either failing posters or takedown requests.

How can you tell if all PAR2 files are downloaded?

Set SABnzbd to paused.
Load the NZB again and click on the title in the queue.
That will show you which files should have been downloaded.
Compare that to what QuickPar shows you.

The list matches what is shown is QuickPar.

If Usenet is really so unreliable, I might have to switch to torrents :(

Thanks for the help. SABnzbd has no way of checking for that kind of status before downloading?

Yes it has, it's called "Check before download" in Config->Switches.
It's far from perfect yet, but it will prevent downloading most non-completable posts.
BTW: deletion on Usenet is very targeted to specific posts.
Not all Usenet providers are hit at the same rate.
