Help calculating speed to satisfy quota

I feel like an idiot asking this question, but I can't wrap my old man brain around this math anymore. I fully understand and can correlate kb/s vs KB/s vs mb/s etc, but I need some help here.
My ISP taps me out at 250GB per month. I meter SAB's download speed. If I max it out (3MB/s on my cable connection) I can hit my quota within days. I'm wondering how many kb/s or KB/s, running 24/7 for 30 days, would equate to 250GB downloaded in that 30 day period. This was I can keep SAB running around the clock, albeit slowly, so the media share will slowly fill with my backlog. Once all the initial stuff is downloaded, I should be able to reset the metered rate, as I'll just be grabbing new episodes as they air.

You can also use SABnzbd's own quota system (Config->Switches).
That way downloading will simply stop when the quota is consumed
and resume once the reset date is reached. Set something like 200G as quota.
Of course you can use a lower speed, but why?
You'll just be waiting longer for first results.
But if you want the speed: 103 KBytes/sec will consume your full quota in 30 days.
250G / 30 / 24 / 60 /60 = 103K

Thanks. I tried using the built-in quota settings but it didn't work (said I met the quota immediately). I played around with it and couldn't get it to work.

What did you enter?
And did you pick monthly and set a month day?

In "Size" I put "150g" (to allow for other regular family network traffic)
In "Quote Period" I have "month"
In "Reset Day" I have "18"
Auto resume is checked.
As soon as I click "Save", sab stops downloading and I get a warning in the log that the quota has been reached.

It will do that when you already downloaded that much.

How do I reset everything then so Sab thinks I'm starting fresh?

Stop SABnzbd, remove file totals9.sab and start again.
Location described here:
http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-0-7
Look in the sub folder "admin".
You'll reset all counters this way.
