Ladies and gentlemen

The following:

I have a Hp Proliant microserver n40l running SABnzbd. Only it seems that the download speed fluctuate so much that I went crazy.

On my laptop to the cable I get 14MB / s and with SABnzbd only 7 mb / s. Once in a while jumps to 11 and then back just as hard.
What can this be?

Tested on: "

Windows 7 / Windows Server 2012 Data Center Edition
SABnzbd version 0.7.4
120 mbit ziggo
Sunny xl unlimited

I also tested with GrabIt and picked it steady 14 mb / s

If you need more info let me know

Do you have an article cache set in Config->General?
I hope you don't have the "temporary download folder" on a RAID set.

Temp file is on my c drive, away from my raid settings. After de download is complete, then the pc will transfer it to my raid config.

And yes i have an article cache. Is that a problem?

It can be if it's to small, use at least 300M (the "M" is needed) if you can spare it.
On low memory system you can actually set it too high.
The latter isn't very likely on hardware like yours.

Other than that, I don't know.
Nobody of the team uses "Windows Server 2012 Data Center Edition".

Well thats the problem, its not only on server 2012. it is on every system. friends do have the same problem as me. On windows xp vista and 7. It is beginning to like like a software bug.

It's definitely not widely reported.
With so little info, what can I do?
Is there anything in common between your situation and your friend's?
Same ISP? Same Usenet provider? Same router?
