SABnzbd is working but web interface has stopped.

Hello all!

I ave done extensive searches on this and found nothing. Hopefully we can get a solid thread together to help future users as well as myself.

I had SABnzbd up and running perfectly, I could access from anywhere with a web browser. Things were perfect!! Until I found a thread saying there was an iPhone interface... I thought things could be perfect-er. lol

I went in and added "iPhone" as a second source and then reboot SABnzbd. Now the web interface isn't working anymore. I can't even do the "localhost", the internal IP, the exernal IP, the 127.0.0.1... nothing works.

I have checked the router and I still have port 8080 open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SABnzbd but it apparently just keeps the old settings so I'm not deleting everything apparently. The firewall isn't on.

I'm unable to check to see what port SABnzbd is trying to use but it used to be 8080 who knows if it has changed because of the want for the iPhone interface. I can't seem to find the file where I can change those things without the web interface.

I know SABnzbd is still working because it is downloading something at the moment and throwing it in to my "incomplete folder" so it's working, I just can't get to the web portion apparently.

I hope I have given enough details. Would love some help.

Sounds like your browser might have auto filled in the "host" field in config>general with that of one of your usenet providers.

Launch sabnzbd with the -s command line paramter such as
SABnzbd.app -s 0.0.0.0:8080
or find sabnzbd.ini in ~/sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini and edit the host there.

I don't see any .ini files associated with SABnzbd. I also ran the application FROM the original Mac directly on a different Mac using "back to my Mac". So it appears the application is fine, All of this happened because of a reboot OR because of the iPhone thing.

I can't imagine what the hell this could be.

More information that might be helpful.

I have cleared a couple of possible suspects. I have installed SABnzbd on my Macbook and it works as it should. I changed my router to point to the Macbook on port 8080 so that is working well too. I also enabled the "iPhone" as the second source and it is also working as it should.

Switch - you mentioned earlier about an .ini file. I wasn't able to find this on either one of my installs and I searched the hard drives so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Also if I wanted to uninstall everything without leaving a single file behind where would I go? Are there more files other than the ones in the package contents?

I don't know what the issue with the one computer is. I can remote to it fine, it has network connectivity because it was downloading files without issue.... this is going to be something stupid I can feel it. All I did was a reboot and the iPhone thing. Normally I know when I mess things up. lol

Navigate in finder to: ~/sabnzbd/ the ini file (the settings) should be stored there.
