What do you do when you get the download prompt from the web browser?
The are normally two choices. Execute and save.
For execute, you can select a program. Check carefully what the popup says.

Something goes wrong in the web browser, which one do you use?
It seems to persist in associating NL.

Chrome doesn't like self-signed certificates.
In Firefox you can store those as permanent exceptions, but not in Chrome.
About the NZB files.
Open a command prompt and type:
What do these command show as a result?

That should fix it.
Does it?
You may need to restart your browser.

I'm afraid you will have to google for methods to clean up file associations

thanks for your efforts, I wonder what would happen if I uninstalled newsleecher, might that allow SAB to start after NZB looks for a downloader or will I probably have nothing come up and then have to reinstall newsleecher and settings.
