it works so much faster even when i just split files compared to rar So i was thinking about switching to 7zip as it makes uploading tons of stuff i do faster so i decided to give it a try and unfortunately results were pretty inconvenient.

1) file join on

.7z files just get joined and thats all. i have a single large 7zip file

2)file join off
.7z files stay unjoined and sab put them in a folder


Is there any way to make sabnzbd identify .7z files and not treat them as just splitted files?
join them and then unpack. (can .7z be identified at that stage?

There will be regular 7zip support (for multi-part archives) in 0.8.0.
No joining, unless 7zip supports that by itself.
