Will not download from RSS [solved]

Basic info: installed from repository on Ubuntu, version seems to be 0.6.15.

I have added my NZBMatrix bookmarks RSS, the sabnzbd never downloads the contents of that feed. The default filter "*" is in place and correctly displays a list of what's in my bookmarks, but will not download unless on the filters page I press the force download or individual download buttons.

Did you check the checkbox?
Only checked RSS feeds will be automatically read.

Yes, the "enabled" checkbox is checked and I left it running overnight and it never managed to add the downloads to the queue. I also have nothing setup in scheduling yet (first time using sabznbd so I'm trying to leave most things untouched until I get things working one by one).

EDIT:
Actually it managed to download and queue an NZB from my bookmarks RSS just now. What I think happened was that the download service was down when the first two items were added to the bookmarks, because sabnzbd doesn't even want to try downloading them anymore. It would be nice if it would realize a download failed and try it again rather that saying and doing nothing! Well, I am not even sure this is the cause but it's the only idea I have. I remember last night when I was manually downloading a file from the bookmarks RSS it failed to download the NZB a couple of times so I didn't pull this theory completely out of the air.

Thanks for your hard work though, great software

You can set an interval on the RSS page or set a once-per-day schedule (only one will work).
Note that of a new RSS feed, the first batch will not be downloaded.
Only subsequent new entries.
