How to avoid duplicates through RSS feeds

Hey guys, I setup a couple RSS feeds through Sabnzbd/Nzbmatrix. This has worked well for quite a while, but I was wondering how you avoid duplicates? I mean, is there a way to tell the program that once it finds something that "meets" the criteria, that it doesn't keep looking? I realize that it depends on how you setup the RSS and the parameters you select, but here is an example.

I like to setup Sabnzbd to download UFC fights as soon as they are available. I have setup to download anything with "UFC" in the title, and then I added several exclusions (countdowns, weigh-ins, primetime, etc...in hopes of avoiding everything except the actual fights). This works well; however, unfortunately, there are about 700 different versions of the exact same program so for days following a fight, it will download the same thing several times...and then I manually have to download. Obviously, this isn't the end of the world, but was wondering if there was a suggestion to avoid this? Any help would be appreciated!

crankycowboy,

try and limit your search to just a few release groups. Take a look at the ones you have download do they seem to be uploaded by the same user and does it have a release group tag in the filename.

UFC.xxx.Pxxxxxxxx.Fxxxxxxx.720p.HDTV.x264-LMAO or
UFC.xx.xxxx.xxxxxx.vs.Pxxxxx.HDTV.x264-RUDOS or
UFC.xx.xxxxx.3.Preshow.DSR.x264-KYR

let me know how it works out
maybe post your rss search criteria and help out other UFC fans.
