[Android] Sabber

I just posted a new app to control Sabnzbd with a smartphone or tablet called "Sabber".
Sabber allows you to control nzb files on your Sabnzb installation with your smartphone or tablet with the ICS look and feel (also on older models). The layout is optimized for both smartphones and tablets.
Additional information about the server is displayed when using a tablet.

Key features included in the app:
- monitor current downloads
- change the category of current downloads
- delete current downloads
- pause / resume sabnzb
- view history of completed downloads
- search nzb files with nzbindex
- add found nzbs to the sabnzb installation

The app contains a few bugs when switching tabs. I'll work on that. In the meantime, please let me know any comments about the app.

"The app contains a few bugs when switching bugs." ... the last word is not correct, I think?

After installing, at the first startup, Sabber just shows an empty screen. I think it could be nice if Sabber would automatically start the Settings screen so that the user can fill out the settings.

Sabber does not access my SAB instance running on a IPv6-only URL. Using a webbrowser on the same ICS Tablet, I can access that IPv6-only SAB URL. It's 2012 ... IPv6 is a must...

Adding a NZB: I have to press the left upper blue icon or the looking glass on the right? Then nzbindex appears, I can search and add it. Nice.
However: the History stays on two lines: the NZB and "trying to fetch NZB from ...", whereas the SAB webgui already shows the download would fail (because of missing elements).
Furthermore, switching to History results in a garbled screen: the Downloading and History texts are printed through eachother. After a few minutes, this problem was gone, but a new problem in History showed up: each download was wrapped up after 23 characters...

In the History, it is not clear if a download was successful or not.

Tested on a 7 inch tablet with ICS / Android 4.0

Thanks for the feedback. I'll work on it asap.

The typo is corrected.
Show the settings screen on startup: Good idea. I'll fix that.
Ipv6: I'll have to dive into that one.
Search: to start searching just press the search icon (or search button when the device is equipped with such a button).
Handling failed downloads: I need to work it out better indeed.
garbled text: I'll need to investigate that.

Again: Thanks a lot for testing the app.

Question: Sabber has nzbindex.nl search built-in. How is that done: via an API, or screen-scraping, or ... ?

The app queries the nzbindex rss feed: http://nzbindex.nl/rss.

OK, thanks. And a search URL for "divx" is http://nzbindex.nl/rss/?q=divx&age=&max ... m=1&more=0

Clear. Thank you.

For the upcoming update I fixed the following:
[*]Fixed a bug with tab rendering on screen orientation switching. Should fix the scrambled text too.
[*]The app shows the settings screen if the settings are blank.

Got other must have requests (besides ipv6 for which I need more time)?

[edit]Forgot about failed downloads handling. Will start work on that next[/edit]

Yes I have some requests :-)
I joined the forum just to be able to reply :)

I love the app and i think I used them all, this one looks the nicest.
things i'd like to see, are :
- status ( total queued, d/l speed, hd space+remaining etc)
- widget would also be nice
- an option to set the download speed
- Being able to add a nzb based on url or upload from the device
- being able to "share" the NZB file with sabber, I could not find this functionality anywhere

Keep it up!
Thanks
