Are the instructions here still valid for newer versions of like CentOS 6?

Largely yes.
I think CentOS 6 might already have a proper Pyhton installed.
You can leave out "Feedparser".
You should use a recent version of SABnzbd.

Thanks shypike, I will be installing on my friends recently built server, I havent seen it yet, but since its a new build I am assuming it will be running a recent version of Centos.

What do you mean by leaving out feedparser, I cant see that info in instructions that I linked?

It was mentioned, just removed it.
