Sabnzdb speedcapped?

Post by El3h »

I seem to be getting an unusual bug where Sabnzbd caps itself at 10.2Mb/s,
I'm on 1Gbit/1Gbit connection at home and when Sabnzbd isnt playing up I get around 80-90Mb/s, before I'd just pause the download and unpause it and then it would go at full speed again but well that doesn't seem to work anymore.. any ideas?
I tried uninstall and reinstall and it doesnt seem to fix the issue, I'm at a loss really.

My usenet provi is giganews.

I don't think your Usenet provider gives you 1Gbps, I don't know any that do.
Besides that there's only so much that SABnzbd can handle, depending on your hardware.
Having an ample article cache in Config->General is essential for any performance.
I don't have the luxury of testing its limit, having a "humble" 100 Mbps.
BTW: aren't you mixing up bits and bytes? SABnzbd shows its speed in BYTES/second.

I'm use to getting 80-90MB/s via giganews but I've had problems with Sab capping my speeds before and it seemed to resolve itself this time it isn't and is sitting at 10.2MB/s consistently without fluxing.
I'm not mixing up bits and bytes ;)

*problem solved*

Removed my intel 1000/GT pro

using onboard seems to be back 2 normal?
