RESOLVED: Sabnzbd as Windows service unable to create folder

Post by hawaii2000 »

I know this is a frequent topic but I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I'm running the latest version (0.6.15) and when I first ran sabnzbd as a service, it complained about being unable to create download folders in m:\, a mapped drive to \\hp-elite\movies2. I was able to resolve this by using the UNC path instead.

But now it's reporting being unable to create download folders again and no changes have been made. I did run the python test to see if python can create a test folder using the target UNC, and it can and does. The service is running under a user account that has full access to the target folder. As I mentioned, nothing (as far as I can tell) has changed. Yesterday this was working. Today it is not.

What else can I do to diagnose and resolve this?

Thank you.

UPDATE: Installed 0.7.0-Beta3. No change.

UPDATE: Problem apparently due to Windows Homegroup requiring a refresh OR running the service as an actual user rather than local system.
