Hey everyone, I just moved and switched ISP and my router.
Just4today is still working because its IPv4.

Some background is I use the gogo6 service which I know would sometimes be spotty.
Then I started also using the hurricane electric tunnel broker.

So SABNZBD has 2 entries each for xsnews.nl and xs4all.nl
Which would lead to me sometimes actually getting both entries to download since I'm guessing it saw each coming from a different IP.

I have this a .bat in startup folder,

netsh interface portproxy add v4tov6 listenport=1120 connectaddress=reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl connectport=119

Now I setup port forwarding just in case to my machine, I dont recall the router needing much in regards to this.
Gogo6 says its up and running, I updated the hurricane tunnel with my new WAN ip.
I can ping ipv6 addresses fine. This is where I'm a bit confused if I'm missing something.

I remember sometimes the hurricane ones not working because no ipv6 dns resolution but the gogo6 would often fix that, and make the local:1118 and 1120 work if not the 119's because I believe gogo would sometimes block that port.

Just4today is fine so i dont believe its a port issue.
Any ideas?

If you have gogo6, why would you need the portproxy stuff?

What does http://test-ipv6.com/ say?

Says 10/10 for ipv4 and 6.
The deal with the portproxy was from some tutorial I followed initially. I can barely remember that.
I think gogo would sometimes block port 119. It was cases like that where I'd switch servers on gogo and then I could dl from those servers again.
But even when that would happen the local 1118 and 1120 would still work. I can assume thats because of the hurricane tunnel as I would be able to get downloads going off both concurrently as I'm guessing the servers saw the xs4all and the 1118 version as coming from different IP's.
Not a bad hustle/side effect.
But without gogo connected, I wouldn't resolve any ipv6 dns resulting in neither the portproxy or full names working.

So you have:
- gogo6
- hurricane
- Windows built-in IPv6 (assuming you have Vista or 7)
- portproxy stuff

That seems a bit complicated to me.

As test-ipv6.com shows you have IPv6, I would reduce the Ipv6 setup to something manageable, and then test again with a direct connection to newszilla6.xs4all.nl

I guess so.
I tried telnetting into them directly and they all time out.

How would you recommend I reset/disable some of this stuff?
And yes, Im on win7 ult.
I guess I'll narrow down to just gogo6 since I get no DNS resolution without it.

First suspect: firewall on your PC
Second suspect: non-MS virusscanner

I have an older Symantec Endpoint installed.
No firewalls enabled.
Windows was installed over a year ago, same old endpoint there.
Unless all 3 servers are down, but that site, http://www.appelboor.com/newsserver.txt
claims all 3 are up.
Mind you I hadn't heard of weathergirl until this morning.

Hmmm. Back to the basics:

What is the IPv6 address that test-ipv6.com reports? You can leave out the last digits for your privacy.

Can you post a screendump (or relevant part from sabnzbd.ini) with the ipv6-newsserver settings in SABnzbd. Make sure you do not post accounts/passwords (of other servers.)

Can you temporarily turn off the Symantec virusscanner and try SAB again?

Side note, now its working. I disconnected the gogo for a moment, nothing.
Saw your other thread and my teredo said disabled. I enabled that, still nothing.
Restarted gogo, and now its working fine.
I can understand gogo blocking the port on what comes from them, but shit like this is what baffles the crap out of me.
now telnet connects through fine.
All of my ipv6 pings time out if gogo isnt on. the test-ipv6.com site says 0/10 on ipv6 when gogo isn't connected.
How can I enable DNS resolution for ipv6 names and what not without relying on gogo?

IPv6 name resolution on Windows is blocked if you have only teredo activated. However, apparantly SABnzbd doesn't need Windows' resolving and will resolve newszilla6.xs4all.nl by itself

Many thanks. I just happened upon the txt file last check and was using that for quick reference.
Are those connection amounts legit? I recall not coming close to those half the time.
And readfreenews would always mess up and whichever part it was grabbing, it would hang and stop the rest of the downloads.
