Does anyone know what will happen if i setup SABnzbd to download straight to my external hard drive right. Then i disconnect my hard drive from the computer to take it somewhere will the downloads go to the computer's complete and incomplete folder? Will the downloads be corrupted?

If you pause SABnzbd and properly unmount the drive, things will go right.
Otherwise: big trouble.
SABnzbd doesn't like it when you remove "incomplete" during a download.
"Complete" is more tolerant, in that you can retry failed post-processing.

Ok cool so I have a MacBook! It's only got a 500Gb hard drive. So it's tiny!!!! So what you saying is: if my Mac is connected to the external over night and I have set SABnzbd complete and incomplete locations on the external. That means over night the downloads will go into the external!!! But then I take my Mac to work in the day without taking my external. At work I still download from SABnzbd! Will the downloads automatically go to the incomplete and complete folders on my mac? Will the download become corrupt because some of the tempory files of a specific movie are on the incomplete folder on the external and others on the MacBook?

Make sure "incomplete" is local.
Every post-processing attempt will fail at work.
When you later re-connect at home you can retry all failed items.

There will be a retry button visible in History, when a job fails.
