Unpack while downloading?

Hi,

I'm a newbie to sabnzbd and to Usenet in general. I did a search in the forums, but couldn't find anything helpful.

I would love to unpack (and watch) a movie file already even when the parts are still beeing downloaded. I asked a friend of mine and he doesn't know either but he assumes, you can't start to unpack when the required PAR2 files are missing. But even tho, is it somehow possible to automatically unpack the files step by step while sabnzbd is still downloading the files, so that I can watch the movie file with VLC (which let's me open uncomplete movie files)?

Thank you in advance!

/edit: to make my point clear: Right after I gave sabnzbd the nzb file and the program starts to download, I want to watch the movie (even if there's only a couple of RAR files available yet)

If the post is complete (so no par2 needed), the format is feasible (so no DVD-VIDEO_TS format), your download speed is higher than the bandwidth of the video stream, and you know something about computers, then yes it is possible. The magic word is "stream unrar".

I've already done this with SAB; see See https://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.ph ... r&start=15
