expected file missing during unrar

Hi, New to SABNZBD but I'm getting errors when unpacking some rar's in an NZB.

OS: WIndows 8 Dev Preview latest 4GB memory
SABNZBD: 0.6.15

I think I've traced it down to the names of the root files in the rar splits. The filename lengths including full directories are not an issue - all quite short. And longer ones work.

e.g. It appears that people split their files in two ways (maybe more?):-

filename.rar, filename.r00, filename.r01,,,,,,,,,filename.rxx
filename.r01,filename.r02, filename.r03,,,,,,,,,filename.rxx

SAPNZBD processes the first OK but fails on the second type as it appears to look for filename.rar.

If I unrar/winrar on the second failed groups r01 file, it unpacks just fine and gives me the underlying video so I know all the files are there.

Is this expected behaviour? Is there any way to solve this?

Thx

The second form would be a violation of the naming policy and I cannot remember
having encountered posts like this (except where the .rar file is actually missing).
Can you send an example NZB of the second kind to bugs@sabnzbd.org ?

shypike, I've just sent a NZB as an example.

Works fine on my Windows 7 system.
No problems at all in unpacking.
Are you sure that all files were actually downloaded?

The files ....part01.rar to part17.rar were all downloaded. I get something like "unable to find expected file". I then used WinRar to rake part.01 and expanded the rest to an mkv. As I say, this isn't the first time. When/If it happens again can I send the nzb to you?
Thanks anyway.

Sure, send another one, but the naming convention is not a problem.
