Sabnzb wont run

Hello after installing sabnzb i get the following message

http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd

i did a bit of googling and found by putting this gave me the setup wizzard

after i completed the setup wizzard i was redirected to http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/

i can not view that page and i can no longer view the setup page?

the error is

You tried to access the address http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.


I am using opera web browser

Id appreciate any help atall

Opera doesn't know IPv6 from IPv4.
Try it with this URL:
http://[::1]:8080/sabnzbd

thank shy, that seems to got it to work, although when sab restarts it tries to connect to the old setting which results in a non showing page, i have to retype the address you provided, it there away to set it to restart to that address

The problem is that Opera and SABnzbd have different ideas about what "localhost" means.
One solution is to tell SABnzbd to use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost.

Config->General, the server host field.
After that, restart SABnzbd.

SABnzbd Host - localhost

SABnzbd Port - 8080


where it says local host in the sabnzb host, do i just change it to 127.0.0.1

and leave the port at 8080?

on second thoughts i am having a lot of problems with opera, so i might start using chrome again,

how can i successfully change the sabnzb browser to chrome or another browser?

will my settings be saved and catorgory information?

as im having nothing but problems with opera lately

or would i be better uninistalling then reinstalling sab?

any help appreciated

The browser is just that, a browser. Changing your browser will not affect any of the settings in SAB, just as it wouldn't affect any other website.
