Categories not applying unless I manually select it

This is probably simple to resolve, however I have tried many combinations.

I have setup SABnzbd the following way:

Folders:
User Folder: E:\SABnzb Temp
Completed Download Folder: E:\Usenet

Categories:
Category: tvcat Priorty:Default Processing: Default Folder/Path: E:\TV Groups / Indexer: TV*, HDTV*

Now I have downloaded a TV NZB from nzbs.org, (Saved it to the Desktop) If I open the NZB with SABnzbd I notice straight away that the category is not applied. If I manually change the category from the queue viewer the file is extracted to the correct location.

So it must be the Groups / Indexer Tags that are the issue, I have tried TV*, HDTV* and just plain TV

Can someone suggest what I am doing wrong?

There is nothing in an NZB file that will tell SABnzbd what category it should have.
There are several ways a category can be applied.
Manually.
In filter statements in the RSS module.
When SABnzbd can get the category from the RSS feed or an API of the indexer.
From group inside the NZB, but that's not the indexer's category.

As I am not currently using an RSS feed for my NZB's, my only automated choice is your fourth option, is that correct?

I thought the Groups / Indexer Tabs may have picked up the category from the filename of the NZB.

Create a watch folder for SAB. Within that watch folder, create sub folders that match your catagories.
After that, just save your nzb's into the required sub folder.

Eejit, i'll try this, does the sub folder need to match the name of the category of the name of the Groups / Indexer?

Just need to establish how to rename the files now, it it looks like I may need to sue sick beard for that, unless Sabnzbd can do it?

It will recognize this convention:
{{tv}}my show.nzb

If you want to base your category on parts of the name, you'll have to write a pre-queue script.
