no firewall activated on my laptop, and I dont have e set up anywhere at all in my network, and also remember that my gf's SAB can call out and work properly; mine just cant...

decided to swap my gf .ini file from her known working SAB, and it works. I have no idea why, but it does...
so, i guess the crisis is averted for the moment, i am just bothered because I dont know why it happened on my machine...

if you had sabnzbd 0.4.x on you mac you should also have a sabnzbd.ini in your home directory.
Quit SABnzbd and type this on a Terminal to rename the open the old config folder :
In the finder rename the old ini or just delete it.
Then you can delete the ini on your /Users//Library/Application Support/SABnzbd.
