Your temp download folder will not grow too much, 1.5T local is more than enough.
It's perfectly OK to use the NAS as the final destination, I do the same.
Using local storage for the temp files is simply more efficient and more reliable.
When your queue is empty, so will your local storage be.
So looking at Config->Folders, the one called "incomplete" should be local
and "complete" should be remote.

Ah! That makes sense. But wouldn't the whole job take longer to finish because of the time it takes to transfer from local to NAS instead of downloading smaller files directly to NAS?

Given that the majority of downloads consist of RAR files, it's actually more efficient to use a local temp.
For other downloads you might be right, as long as no repair is needed.

Thanks. If my completed downloads folder is a NAS, how would SAB process the temporary download files after downloading them?

Isn't that obvious?
It either unpacks from temp to NAS or simply copies files that need no processing.

I guess my question was simple. I meant will it extract/unpack it first to the local directory and then transfer to the NAS or directly transfers it to the NAS?

it will extract directly to the NAS.
