Thx shypike I will watch for that, but it seems all of them have some "missing articles" yet some go unaffected by it, also how can I reduce the occurrence of it having missing articles, reducing the retention length makes it harder to find and I the process to be as automated as possible, as I don't have time to babysit even download to find out.

There's no magic formula for getting reliable NZB files.
It's a comination of the indexer, you Usenet provider and the kind of posts you want.
Make sure you get NZBs with plenty of par2 files.
You don't have to baby sit, SABnzbd will tell afterwards how much was missing.
Also, do not set a retention time in Config->Servers if you only have one server.

thanks I will try your suggestions, one last thing, I use sick beard for television series but cannot find a good program for movies couch potato which I have tried, yields little to nothing in results for me.

I have exactly the same problem , installed today , uninstalled ,same problem.

EDIT:
i switched off my av, and all dl's resumed, after i enabled the av again all was still working fine, just to be suer , i diabled scanning for the relevant directories.

I'm having a similar problem.. it just started in the last few days.. sab will be downloading a few items and then all the sudden the time left and speed status will just show "-".. like it is paused.. but it doesn't show that it is paused.. A restart of sab will kick it back into gear for a while, but then it will happen again eventually.
My disk space has been running low.. is that the issue? it doesn't SAY that..
