v0.8.x How do I set the speed limit please?

Post by MonkeyJug »

getting this warning message when trying to set the speedlimit in v0.8.x:

2015-04-21 10:41:52,543 WARNING: You must set a maximum bandwidth before you can set a bandwidth limit

old version was working perfectly when i scheduled the following rules:

daily @ 0630, speed 550kbs
daily @ 2330, speed 1000kbs

now, when i try to add the same rules in 0.8.x, it gives the above error and the speed remains maxed out. i noticed when i try to manually set the speed from the downloads page, the max speed is now shown as a percentage, rather than an actual download speed.

can someone help me here please - i can't work out why this is so difficult...

Using 0.8.x is not supported of course.
You set your max line speed e.g. 10M, meaning 10Mbyte/sec which is about 100Mbps.
Speeds are set as percentages, like 50.

thanks, maybe that is where i've been going wrong. i thought 10M was 10Mbps and was wondering why 50% did nothing. i'm gonna try setting it to 1M and 50% of that should hopefully work...

edit: that worked a treat! thanks...
