"This webpage is not available" http://localhost:8080/sabnzb

Post by davidkain001 »

Hi folks! Newbie here hoping you can help.

SABnzbd stopped loading the WebUI today. Searching the forum has turned up some similar issues, but none of the steps there seem to help (at least so far!).

My issue started after a run of CCleaner (clearing Chrome's history and cache), and a system restart. Once Chrome loaded, I attempted to access the URL I've been using, "http://localhost:8080/sabnzb", but received the error "This webpage is not available." Attempting to load in Internet Explorer results in the same error.

Strangely, the program still appears in the system tray, and Pause/Resume appears to work. SickBeard (on localhost:8081) still loads fine.

Thanks so much for any help. Truly appreciate it!

STEPS TAKEN SO FAR
  • Troubleshoot -> "Restart" via system tray context menu
  • Troubleshoot -> "Restart 127.0.0.1:8080" via system tray context menu
  • Uninstall and Reinstall of SABnzbd
  • Installed SABConnect++ Chrome Browser Extension (also cannot connect to SABnzbd)
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Version: 0.7.20
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1)
Firewall Software: Bitdefender
Are you using IPV6? Unsure
Is the issue reproducible? Yes
Browser: Chrome 40.0.2214.111 m

Do a right mouse click on the SABnzbd tray icon.
Then pick Troubleshoot -> Restart - 127.0.0.1:8080

Then try again.

Thanks for your help, sander. No luck there, unfortunately.

Re-install SABnzbd.
It looks like CC removed parts of it.
Also, try accessing SABnzbd from Internet Explorer,

The straight reinstall didn't work (no luck with IE either).

However, I did just manage to get it to work. Turns out I needed to uninstall (via the provided uninstall.exe) and remove my existing settings. The UI is loading correctly now.

Thanks!

Weird that "Restart 127.0.0.1:8080" didn't work.

Yeah, I can only assume it's some weird interaction caused by CCleaner. I've uninstalled it, so hopefully no more issues like this.

Thanks again.
