Missing rar Parts

I am having trouble with several downloads that only contain part 2+ or sometimes higher and are missing the first few parts. These then are unable to be extracted and are not reported as failed downloads. I've got it installed on ubuntu 14.04

Aren't these just incomplete posts?
You say that only the par2 files remain?
Very likely a removal after a DMCA request.

I thought it was odd that it was always the first parts missing though. I've just got sonarr grabbing files for me, so would my issue be fixed with new indexers?

So there are a few different errors I've seen with my setup. There is "Repair Failed: not enough blocks", "Unpacking Failed: Can't find filename.s00" and then this problem where it just downloads then completes without error and tells me it has unpacked 0 files/folders in 0 seconds. The others are fine because they report the error, but the last one is bugging me

I can download without problems, but I don't have the same provider that you have.
Can you check this setting: Config->Switches->Fail on yEnc CRC Errors ?
If it is on, can you try again with this one off?

BTW: does the history of the job say that articles are missing or malformed?

Turned that setting off and tried again. First time nothing happened and I got an error of "Aborted, Cannot be completed" and ~346 articles were missing. Retried it and it skipped through chunks the download without actually downloading any data, then when that finished the error said "Download failed - Out of your servers retention?".

So it seems like you were right about the DMCA request? But I assume there should be an error when the completed download fails to unpack, yes?

Normally, failing downloads lead to clear error messages.
I'm not sure what happened in the first scenario.
It looks like it led to a download where something was downloaded, with nothing in it.
The second time, nothing was downloaded at all, so it seems.
Another question: do you use a single server or also a backup server?

Just a single server.

It's likely a taken down post, possibly in two phases.
Unfortunately it's no longer possible to find out exactly what happened.
You could enable "debug" logging on the Status page.
When such a thing happens again, I can take a look at the log file and may say more.
