Setting API

Post by ctfeet »

First off, I'll admit, I'm a complete noob with the whole SABNZBD thing so please bear with me. I am trying to set up SAB with NzbDrone ( though I had the same issue with SickBeard ) and when I try to configure the API in either of those
apps, I get an error about invalid API. I have tried to change the API but when I do that, I see a new number flash and then it just resets to the previous API. I do a copy / paste into Drone or SickBeard and I still get the error. Is there some special way to change the API? Right now, I click change, it asks me to confirm, I click OK and then I see the new number for a split second and then back to the old number.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Stan

Can you change other parameters?
Often web browsers think they're dealing with password fields
and keep on entering old values.
Check your web browser's username/password storage tool.

As best I can tell, that's not what's happening, my password manager (LastPass) has my User name and password, but not the API. I just tried it again and I very briefly see a message that says "Error Session Key Incorrect". I have also tried a completely new install on a different computer and get the same problem.

Stop SABnzbd and try to set a proper API key directly in the sabnzbd.ini file.
The location is: c:\Users\user\AppData\Local\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.ini
